Approx 4/5 of the atmosphere mass is in the Troposphere, which varies between 4 and 12 miles in height

The Earth's atmosphere is an extremely thin sheet of air extending from the surface of Earth to the edge of space

The thickness of the atmosphere is about 62 miles (100 km)
