Approximately four fifths of the atmosphere's mass is the Troposphere, which varies between 4 and 12 miles in height...

The Earth's atmosphere is an extremely thin sheet of air extending from the surface of the Earth to the edge of space...

The thickness of all the atmosphere is about 100 km (62 miles)
