Clearly, the times in which we live demand values-based politics and visionary solutions to an array of problems. Whether global climate change and disruption, or a nuclear weapons race heating up, or finding ways to ensure 'the basics', rights, and food, clean water, health and quality of life, we know practical, realistic solutions are needed. "Think globally, act locally” captures this ethic yet threats to the earth’s and humanity's future go far beyond a call to local action. A new vision and strategy that is comprehensive, diverse and empowered in every community is needed to join local actions into community networking and a rippling, powerful global wave.
