Florida is, in fact giving its geography (karst/limestone), near sea-level topography (with sea-level rise impacts), its weather (extreme 'events' and hurricanes), rapidly warm waters in the Gulf of Mexico ('super-charging' tropical storms into hurricanes), and its politics (with 'climate change denial' prevalent)... yes Climate News Florida is over target to say Florida's "the Frontlines" of Climate Change".

The Climate News Florida project was originally organized to prompt a coordinated, cooperative climate-related news effort in Florida. Numerous news publishers, media, and others were approached and after a period of initiatives, the team at the Center for Environmental Studies at the Charles Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University has run a very successful online "source for news, commentary and educational content about climate change and other environmental issues affecting Florida."

Florida is, with its geography (karst/limestone), near sea-level topography (and sea-level rise impacts), its weather (extreme 'events' and hurricanes), rapidly warming waters in the Gulf of Mexico ('super-charging' tropical storms into hurricanes), and its politics (with 'climate change denial' prevalent)... Florida is, clearly, "the Frontlines of Climate Change".
