A good starting place is Christmas eve, 1968, along with Apollo in space and, out of the spaceship's window, suddenly, unexpectedly, Planet Earth comes into view. The astronauts, seeing our blue-green planet as it's never been seen before, rush to put "color film" in the onboard camera and just in time a now famous "Earthrise" image begins a modern environmental movement.
