Description:

Green Partnership Program
Don’t wait until the deadline! Apply for Green Partnership Program funding today to start your new project! Completed applications are reviewed when received with funding awarded on an ongoing basis. Funding applications will be accepted until Tuesday, April 15, 2008.

As part of the Green Partnership Program, the City of Ottawa is providing $1 million to fund innovative projects that further clean and green our great city. You and your community organization, service group, business association or non-profit organization have great ideas that will improve upon what is already a great city. Enhance your community’s gateway, plant floral displays on common grounds, restore a natural habitat or create sustainable green spaces and gardens! These one-time cleaning and greening project ideas and more may receive funding under the Green Partnership Program.

If eligible for funding and your project meets our priority guidelines, the City will match your financial or in-kind contribution dollar for dollar and make your vision a reality!

Projects set on any common ground within the city of Ottawa are also eligible for funding. Priority will be given, however, to those projects that beautify and showcase grounds belonging to the City of Ottawa.

If your project goes a long way to improve City-owned lands and includes beautification, sustainability, co-operation with other community groups and public education programs, your idea might qualify as a hallmark project and be eligible for an increased level of funding.

Whether your project begins tomorrow or next month, fill out an application form and apply today! Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Projects will only be considered so long as there are funds remaining to be awarded. Funding is provided to cover project costs until December 31, 2008.
