Iraq has announced in 2025 its third NDC as part of its commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement. This plan aims to address the country's vulnerability to climate change and includes strategies for adaptation and mitigation across various sectors. The updated NDC establishes clear targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across various sectors, aiming to maintain emission levels below 300 MtCO2e by 2035.
