Description:

Clark College proudly announces the next step in the college's health and wellness efforts: the Healthy Penguin Nation initiative. Our kickoff program is "Penguin Points."

"Penguin Points" is Clark College’s incentive-based program to live well. All employees and students are invited to earn Penguin Points that they may exchange for a chance to win prizes.

Earning Penguin Points
To earn one Penguin Point, you must do something healthy. You can earn a maximum of one point per day, but every point must symbolize a different healthy action. (Oswald, on the left, keeps in shape by walking on a treadmill.)

You can earn points in six dimensions: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual and environmental.

Prizes for earning Penguin Points include a a $100 gift card for the Clark College Bookstore. Living a healthy life: priceless.

Healthy Penguin Nation: the tools you need
To help people stay physically fit, we have created Penguin Paths throughout our main campus.

The Culinary Arts Department is stepping up and embracing the Healthy Penguin Nation initiative – working to provide trans-fat free and healthy products in our bakery, cafeteria and dining room – while still ensuring great taste for students, faculty, staff and guests.

Since the January launch of the Healthy Penguin Initiative, 16 students, faculty and staff members have completed their first Penguin Points card. Eight have earned their second Penguin Points card.
