Description:
Donations needed for homeless shelters
Jan. 28, 2008: The City of Fargo and the Fargo Human Relations Commission are sponsoring their fourth-annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign, an effort to collect non-perishable food and other items for area homeless shelters. You can donate items at all area Hornbacher’s stores; Roosevelt, Horace Mann and Kennedy elementary schools in Fargo; the NDSU Memorial Union; the University Lutheran Center at NDSU; Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo; and First United Methodist Church in Fargo.
Items most needed at our shelters include:
- linens and towels.
- new socks and underwear.
- toiletries.
- winter hats and gloves.
- disposable diapers and baby formula.
- canned goods.
- pots and pans.
- board games and books.
- laundry, cleaning and school supplies.
The donated items will be “stuffed” into a city bus and delivered to the shelters on Feb. 8 .
