SJS / Siterunner: And a second hat tip, remembering my old friend Stirling Silliphant (who advised me to sell my place and 'get out of your Hollywood life if you want to be a serious writer' (Stirling was the writer of classic movies such as "In the Heat of the Night" before Hollywood 'got him', as he described it, and he ended up writing 'disaster movies' like the "Towering Inferno"). I followed Stirling's advice to get out of 'the biz' and I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to become "a serious writer."
