Description:

South Jordan University is a free civic education program for community minded citizens.

This 7 week course will introduce you to the ins and outs of South Jordan City Government. City officials and employees will explain the roles of various departments within the city and will give you the opportunity to experience, discuss, and voice your opinion about some of the tough decisions made everyday.

Topics covered will include:

  • City Management & City Council
  • Community & Development
  • Safety & Emergency Services/Preparedness
  • Budget & Finance
  • City Council
  • Citizen Services
  • Public Works

Participants who attend at least 5 of the 7 classes receive a South Jordan t-shirt, graduation certificate, and are invited to participate in a special City Council graduation ceremony.
