Description:

The first ordinance in this entry is to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to reducing the emission of pollutants from the city’s diesel fuel-powered motor vehicles. The second ordinance is amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to reducing the emission of pollutants from vehicles that handle, transport or dispose of the City’s solid waste and recyclable materials.

The third ordinance requires that any diesel-powered nonroad vehicle, fifty horsepower and greater, that is owned by, operated by or on behalf of, or leased by a City agency be powered by ultra low sulfur diesel fuel and utilize the best available technology for reducing the emission of pollutants.
