Description:
The yellow bike has in recent years become a new symbol of Eckerd College. The program supports a fleet of yellow bicycles that students, faculty and staff can use to get themselves around campus. This means fewer cars on campus, fewer unjustified car rides to class, and fewer emissions overall. The cleverness and innovation of the program has garnered significant press coverage, not the least of which centered on the program's being recognized by the National Wildlife Federation.
