Resolution No: 53
WHEREAS:
We live in a global community and we trade products with other countries; and
WHEREAS:
Many Third World countries adhere to fair trade practices.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That AFSCME locals be encouraged to order products from any company accredited by the International Fair Trade Association or belonging to the Fair Trade Federation whenever it is deemed appropriate.
