Description:
Art Trucks transforms six Department of Public Works’ garbage trucks into ‘mobile art galleries’ by covering the entire truck in artist-designed “wraps.” This project was proposed by JMC Art Partners + Segal Fine Arts in discussion with John Liszewski, Commissioner, Department of Public Works, as a creative tool to promote environmental awareness and educate the people of Yonkers about the important role DPW plays in providing a clean and safe environment. This is the first project of its kind whereby garbage trucks has been wrapped with unique artwork in the United States.
