Text:
9.08.020 Bias crime reporting.
The city manager or his designee shall:
A. Establish guidelines for the collection of bias crime data, including the criteria which must be present to find evidence of prejudice;
B. Provide training for police officers and other personnel for identifying bias crimes;
C. Require the chief of police or his designee to acquire data on the incidence of bias crimes in the city; and
D. Provide a statistical summary of data annually, for inclusion in the city council’s minutes, concerning the incidence of bias crime in the city, and make available a summary of actions taken under this section.
